Insurance to cover 3 month secondment to Canada

Our daughter's employer is sending her on a 3 month secondment to Canada, but she has to arrange her own insurance.  This needs to cover her travel there and back, her belongings while out there (she is renting an apartment), and health.

She believes a 3-month-long travel insurance policy will suffice, but I'm not so sure and wonder if a more specialist insurance policy (or perhaps multiple policies) is needed.  Can anyone advise?

Honestly, I wouldn't go if my employer tried to get out of paying for this, and I'd probably be looking for a better employer.

I think  normal travel insurance policies exclude working trips.

She would need to read the policy diocument very carefully.

But , I agree with SiliconChip that her employer should be covering her or arranging appropriate insurance.
