Health issues UC

Options
Been on UC joint claim for about 6 months. I work full time 38hrs, partner not working. During this time my partner has not been asked to do much in terms of searching for work etc.

She has been diagnosed with cancer and her treatment is to begin shortly with surgery first and then chemo. Does this need to be be reported on her journal, even though her to do list is empty.

If she is in need of extra help and her condition has changed then Yes. You can also use the online calculators.

Yes she should report the condition and submit sick notes. She will then be sent a Uc50 form to complete. Receiving chemotherapy is an automatic entitlement to the LCWRA element ( an extra £414 a month). Moost of the Uc50 form can be skipped and Oncology Consultant or Nurse specialist can just sign the back page of the UC50 unless she also has other conditions. I'm assuming she doesn't already get LCWRA or LCW?
