it appears use of a search engine is challenging?i_like_cats said:…. I’ve set up the direct debit to cover the £400-odd for the fine and the NI.
Hopefully they’ll still accept it when they see the DD was set up on the 31st even though it wasn’t paid till a week later.

again a search engine is your solutioni_like_cats said:
It’s obviously in my interest to pay 52 weeks of NI under my SA return, but I’m not actually sure if I need to - at least the final 3 months should be covered by the UC. However I didn’t mention my UC claim on my tax return, as it’s not taxable income. Perhaps I should have.Bookworm105 said:

National Insurance and the state pension | Low Incomes Tax Reform Group1 -
If you've received any benefits during the tax year that attract state pension credits the system will adjust how much you need to pay in Class 2 to ensure you don't pay for more weeks than you can receive in credit. For example, if you have 10 weeks' credit though benefits, the system will only expect you to pay 42 weeks in Class 2. But, that calculation takes a couple for days to show on your tax account.
At least that is what happens when I claim carer's allowance.
