Water leak from upstairs flat

If you are looking for a leak it is probably easier to find it via your ceiling rather than via the floor above.

I may have a look in the ceiling and see if there is anything like pipes up there. it is a concrete ceiling so water travels on it and then comes down where it finds the nearest exit so it isn't always easy to identify where the leak had originated from.
i am going to turn the water supply off to the flat for a few days and see if the leak continues. if it does then it can't be from us. but it may be water trapped in the void and coming down slowly.0
