SIL posted 2 second class letters N Scotland on Saturday afternoon.  One arrived SW England Monday morning, us 30 miles away Tuesday afternoon.  Daughter received second class appointment letter postmarked 14th Jan 10 miles away on 22nd.

I don't see how it saves them £250m and £425m, although there doesn't appear to be a timeframe added to that figure. 

If the BBC opens HYS on that article I'm sure it will be full of comments saying how rubbish Royal Mail are but they are still the best around here.

Only letters we get are bills and junk mail from TV licensing, I've said to the postman if you don't have any LLs, parcels or collections no need to stop just to deliver letters.

This has been muted now for over 12 moths, so is not really new news. However this may now happen (eventually) that OFCOM have said there is a need to change the USO which has stopped this from happening.

This week seems to be an improvement but otherwise I would agree.  We’ve been lucky to get two deliveries a week, sometimes one.  I think we got 10 items of mail all at once (not parcels of course)
