Hi all

My Skoda Scala is under warranty until March 2022, i intend to extend the warranty. I know the breaks do not come under warranty. If i have my breaks done in a local garage, will it make any difference to my warranty? I have the car serviced at my Skoda Dealership.  Thanks

As above, I assume you've got the date wrong there.
But repairs/servicing can be done by any mechanic without invalidating the warranty.  The stipulations are that the mechanic/garage must be VAT-registered, they must use genuine OEM parts and they must follow the manufacturer's servicing schedule.
There's always an argument to say using a main dealer might make them more inclined to offer a good-will gesture if something goes wrong that's not actually covered by warranty.  But technically and legally, they can't invalidate the warranty just because you didn't use a main dealer, subject to meeting the stipulations mentioned.

March 2025, my apologies. The car is a 2022 model.

Wear and tear to discs and pads doesn't come under warranty.

But if the caliper is found to be leaking, for example, there may be questions about whether it's a warranty claim or was damaged during maintenance.
