British Gas Homecare - point of concern
Cancelled mine because I had a relatively new boiler and got it for an annual service. However to ensure you qualify for the manufacturer’s warranty your boiler must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines - or you lose it! British Gas told me when I asked that they do not service or maintain your boiler in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines. Indeed may service it in January one year then in December the next. They are happy this complies with Homecare policy because they are servicing your boiler once a policy year. The fact that the two services are not 12 months apart or within 18 months apart means this fails the manufacturer’s guidelines and may mean you lose the warranty. But British Gas Homecare didn’t seem phased. So I cancelled it. Beware!
