Bank Switch - when can I start again.

Last year I completed all the bank switches available, so I was wondering how long I need to leave it before I can re-start switching with the same banks?

It'll be completely dependent on the terms of any future offers, so check those of any that you have in mind to ascertain if there's a cut-off date - most will disqualify you if you had an account or received an incentive within the past [n] years....2

"How long is a piece of string?" type question really. It's usually a few years but each bank does things differently, and it does tend to change from offer to offer. Best thing really is to just have a spare donor account set up in the background with a few token DDs ready to go as/when new incentives drop which you may/may not be eligible for.1

Not all banks are as vigilant when it comes to cut off dates and if the account has been closed at 6 months you should be ok.
I’ve had 3 accounts with two banks over a 2 year period and received six payments0 -
Most of my switching was December 22 and January 23
Nothing been available since

Some of them, not all, and subject to change, seem to be about 3 years, some are not diligent (e.g. I had NatWest in 2019 and their terms at the time said you couldn't qualify for any of their group but got RBS and Ulster in early 2024). HSBC/First Direct officially you can't have both either. I am hoping HSBC do one that is 3 years later this year as I did FD in Feb 22 for example, similarly have 3 others from 2022 that I might be able to get, or I might get rejected for depending on their rules
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
