Marrakech private guide and day trips

My husband and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year and have decided to leave our children at home (don't worry, they're old enough to look after themselves!) and have our first short break without them.  We haven't flown since our honeymoon in 2000 so its quite daunting for us!!

We have chosen to go to Marrakech for five days.  It will be visiting in July so we know it will be hot  :o  We really want an authentic visit so were hoping to hire a private guide for a tour around the city to see the non touristy areas and advise us on the best places to go.

We'd also like to visit the Atlas Mountains - either as a couple with a guide or as part of a small group.  Ideally visiting local villages or something - again not the big touristy areas.

If anyone has any advice, tips or anything else, we'd really appreciate it! <3
