Parking collection agency changed after I’d made 50% is ticket

Admittedly I didn’t pay prior but on the 18th Jan 25 I called DRP recovery made a payment plan, half in Jan half in Feb. I paid the 85 as agreed on the 21st Jan. on the 24th I then get a letter from dcbl same charge charging me the full 170. Calling the prior they said euro car park recalled the debt on the 24th and that they were also paid the 85.00. Speaking to the new collection company they said it doesn’t matter I need to pay the full 170. The irony is my friend was supposed to have cancelled in Time at a Tony carvery as he worked there and hadn’t. I left too long to challenge as it’s a year later. Can they legally demand the full amount again even after I already paid 50%. This particular recovery agent will take me to court to give me a ccj. Will I have good grounds if they take me to court.

Why did you pay anything? Oh dear. It's so sad to read on this forum, when good people are duped into paying scammers.

Cancel that daft payment plan IMMEDIATELY if it is a Direct Debit. Tell your bank to remove the DD authorisation right now!
