So in a nutshell if I told them I wish to stop the withdrawal of the redundancy, I would be leaving with no redundancy package? That seems terribly unfair.
Not really. An employer can only attempt to withdraw a redundancy for one of the two reasons I gave in my first post above.

Anything other than those two reasons and they cannot prevent you from refusing to agree to the withdrawal, meaning that the redundancy continues as planned and you will receive your full redundancy entitlement.

The extract below is taken directly from the ACAS Website:

You might not get redundancy pay if your employer is offering for you to stay in the same job on the same terms and conditions.

    This could be because:

    • there is no longer a redundancy situation
    • you're unreasonably refusing suitable employment

If your employer is offering you a different job, whether you're entitled to redundancy pay will depend on whether the job is

Well it did mean I had to move to a completely different place, which involved me having to learn everything there was to offer there, in other words it was like starting all over again.
So I was going through anxious times.

Distance changed slightly to my disadvantage, as it meant I lived an extra 2 miles away from my job compared to my previous job, so all this stacked against me.

I felt very uncomfortable at the time, actually quite scared to put it in one way.

you  were offered a role which the Employer was determining to be a Suitable Alternative Role

    Same Pay
    same  Jpb tile ?
same Broad scope of Duties ?
    but a different site ...

the arguments AT THE TIME  aobut suitability and Reasonableness would be  based on the distance  between old and new sites  and if it wasan unreasonable commute   if  relocation assistance  was offered for an on-site role  or   if hybrid  or work from home could be available

an extra 2 miles  would be laughed out of the  employment tribunal if  you  decided  that wasan unnaccept able  change   unless there were some very particuarlt  circumstances  that  could not be mitigated
