Then be prepared for it to go pear-shaped when the time comes to execute the will. You are not looking to draw up a simple administration. A solicitor drawn up will is not £300. It is £300, with a £10/£99 contribution from a cheap job.
so, it is or isn’t £300? I don’t get what you’re saying
Please check reviews, and also I suspect that despite the recommendation from MSE that they are offering a will-writing service from a will-writer, rather than the services of a solicitor.
Yours is not a very simple estate!
As in, they’re charging £100 to fill in a DIY kit?

So the Co-op are pretty much charging £100 to fill in a DIY will and store it?
You are already prepared to spend something on a will, be it £10 or £99. Therefore a solicitor produced will costs an extra £290 or £201. You can do it for £0 - just write it out yourself on plain paper. As long as it is signed & properly witnessed it will be valid. But it might not be executed in the way you want if it is anything beyond straightforward.
It's like buying a cheap tech gadget from Del Boy, instead of paying more at a reputable store for something with a warranty. Pay more, get quality.

Though as the info on the MSE page says "As Co-op Legal Services is SRA-regulated, even if the review is by a will writer rather than a solicitor, you will still have the same protection as if it was done by a solicitor.". We used them ourselves and found them very good, it definitely wasn't just like filling in a DIY will, but of course our experience may not be the same as others. They did try to see if we might be interested in trusts, but once we said we were not interested then they weren't mentioned again.
