Credit Card Account Missing

I bank with HSBC (Midland when first opened the account) and either from the beginning or soon after I had a credit card.  When I accessed my account online over the weekend just gone, I noticed that it's no longer showing in my list of accounts.  The weekend was the first time that I noticed that it wasn't showing there.  I would probably say that I haven't used my credit card for any transactions since before the pandemic (lockdown), just not had the need too.  Is there any reason why the have removed it.  Please advise.

I think banks will routinely do this now - if you haven't used it for 5 years it's probably expired and they won't send you a new one if you never use it

They should notify you if they're withdrawing the facility, so if you haven't received any correspondence about this, then complain, assuming they have your current address.

Thank you for the responses, it gives me an idea as to why I suddenly don't see it.  I didn't received any correspondence from the bank that it was happening.  I will give them a ring when I get home tonight.  Thank you.

Maybe there's a letter in your online documents.  Have you checked?

My OH's credit card (not HSBC but Halifax) was closed woth no correspondence, admittedly when he hadn't used it for quite a while. If it had been my card I would have complained.

After 12 months of non use can go dormant. Surprised it lasted 5 years before being closed. Should have been notifications aver that period. No doubt as someone pointed out in the online messages.

One of my cards disappointed a while ago. I did an app update and it reappeared.
