Dyno-Rod/Welsh Water

I called Dyno out to unblock a drain last week. When the engineer arrived he saw that it was a blockage at joint drain shared with my neighbour. He also said (and it's written on the job report) that they would complete the job and I would be able to claim the cost back from Welsh Water (who are responsible for our drains). I have spent the last 4 days back and forth between Dyno and Welsh Water who are blaiming eachother for false information: Welsh Water claim that Dyno should have contacted them first before completing the job so they could send someone out to see it was a jont drain and Dyno said that's not true! Anyone else had this issue? Any advice?

I would imagine Welsh Water would want to inspect the area to ensure they are liable for costs.0

Need to follow this OP:

If their Senior Level review says they aren't responsible as they've followed correct procedure you do have the option of going Ofwat but I'd imagine by that point you'd have been given the correct answer.
One for the water board really, someone there might know the specifics. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
