Inevitably some will be better/easier to deal with/more communicative/more pleasant etc than others. Charges can also vary.
The point I was making is that they are all heavily regulated, so the basic procedures will all follow a similar pattern, and probably investment recommendations will tend to follow along similar lines. Especially as your situation seems relatively straightforward/not complex.
If they offer really unsuitable advice or there is a rare case of fraud, you can get compensation.1
