Car hire with licence expirying

Hi, travelling to Australia in October & hoping to book car hire, but my current licence expires in September.
I'm trying to renew my licence on gov website, but there is no option. Can I hire the car with a licence that's due to expire before the hire period takes place, obviously I will be renewing as soon as I can.

It shouldn't be an issue - if your chosen hire company requires proof of licence at the time of booking rather than at time of hire, they should be able to accept an update to the recorded licence in between, but worth clarifying with them just to be sure.0
