Nexus parking crooks

Son (autistic) paid for 4 hours parking through app. Over 3 hours the fee is for a full day.
Uni lecture overran and he left the car park 15 minutes after the time he'd said on the app, but he'd paid the fee for a full day...
PCN duly arrived, appealed with evidence. "Careful consideration", but refused... Then a bill for£170 to include admin charges.
I've queried it, citing the sum paid, even though the app didn't reflect that.
They've suddenly reduced it to £20.
So, wise ones. Do I a) tell them to shove it, I'll see you in court or
do what they want and just pay it....
I'm fairly confident I can build a case which would win in court, plus a claim for costs, but don't know if I can be bothered.

Whos car park was this?complaints should always go to the landowner firstDo not disclose/attempt to disclose the drivers ID, so far we know your son was an occupant of the vehicle but the driver could have been someone else - and that's as much info as is requiredFrom the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"2 -
The £20 offer is indicative of a major keying error, check if the correct VRM details were used when he paid, or was there a typo or similar ?2

Are you in Scotland?
It makes a big difference in how PCNs should be treated.2 -

Details are all correct, I think they realise they haven't got a case in court as he's paid for a full day, despite the app saying he overstayed...Gr1pr said:The £20 offer is indicative of a major keying error, check if the correct VRM details were used when he paid, or was there a typo or similar ?0 -
There is no fine and Group Nexus don't own any car parks either.
Whereabouts exactly? Car park Google maps link please. They've suddenly reduced it to £20. So, wise ones. Do I a) tell them to shove it, I'll see you in court or

I'd reply just once, telling them that 'typing the wrong hour into an app but paying for a full day regardless of that number' isn't a breach of their signage terms and they would be laughed out of court. If they think they have a cause of action, do not send this case to scum debt crawlers, do not allow some greedy agent to add the joke/extortion £70, just go and file a claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
