Thanks for the link. Having read through this whole thread and the entire "Horizon 28 days error POPLA Appeal 2025" thread, I'm not sure I have the time, energy or patience to go into a dispute/appeal. I see that LukasBB still has not had a final answer to their appeal after 4 months and has run out of energy, unfortunately amidst some terrible personal circumstances. While I think the fine is ridiculous and the amount is too high and that I'd like to fight the system, I don't think it's worth it all in the long run; we all have other stuff going on that is more important and while Horizon can absolutely do one, I'm not down for a long drawn out battle. I'll get the charge paid in the "reduced" timeframe and put it all behind me. Thank you to those who posted in here.

That is such a shame; paying any PPC is funding the operation. Paying for more PCNs.

The appeal for POPLA is already written. It's just copy & paste and change two dates.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You may not have time, energy or patience to dispute your pcn this time but it would help the long drawn out battle if you could see your way to completing these two quick things.

    1) email your MP. Copy Smoof's template letter (adapt if you wish)

    2) sign the petition demanding the re-launch of Govt-backed Code.

    Many thanks

Not to try and convince you to do anything you're not up for, but for the sake of correctness.

LukasBB NTK came in late December and he only responded in January, got a quick response to the initial appeal and just submitted his POPLA this week. So it hasn't been 4 months, been a few weeks.

andromeda24 has dragged on for that period, but you can see we have learned from a few miss-steps at the start. He submitted his POPLA appeal on 18th October and got a response by 7th November. There was some on-going comments but the letter LukasBB has used should avoid that now. It's copy and past ready to go.

I'm in the same boat as you, I could pay now, but simply won't out of principal and will go through same steps as Lukas. The chances of it going to court on these grounds seem very low to me.
