My 2008 Savings Diary

Options
I managed to keep a record of my savings pretty much weekly on here last year and I'm now about to add up the totals!! :j

I'll be keeping a record again this year and plan to do better as we have even less money to play with this year! :o

Today's target is to hit the free bingo sites. I've just done closerbingo for the free £10 but won nothing. Try, try again! ;)

I would like to do this too. Do you mean all the different things like cashback sites as well as actual savings? Also, do you keep on track on a thread or your sig?

I've kept a record of savings such as discount codes used, vouchers in shops etc and any extra income gained. This includes cashback and gift vouchers earned from surveys etc.

I don't keep track in my sig as the length of some people's sigs drives me mad and I'm sure I'm not the only one! :o

This is a really good idea!

I didn't spend anything yesterday and am going to start a religious spending diary today as I'm doing my groceries/petrol shopping tonight.

I have a LiveJournal so I'm just going to keep track of mine on there and start as I mean to go on!

    Good luck with yours! :D

(Not going to use my signature as mine is massive and don't want to incur your wrath!) :p;)

  • I don't keep a running total but I do have a rough idea of what I have saved. My achievement is that the week before Christmas 2007 I had nearly £100 saved for Christmas 2008, how good is that!

Not a very auspicious start to the New Year so far! :o

I haven't been spending much money over the past 10 days though but haven't saved/made much either! :o

Will update totals tomorrow. Off to bed!

Looking forward to the update jo_b, I bet you have saved something knowing you :) At least you haven't spent much, that's good!

Glad somebody's got faith in me! :o

    2008 so far:

£23.20 cashback credited from my Cashback credit card. (Always paid off in full!)

£95.17 received this month from Quidco

    £1.08 rpoints cashback received!

Ordered £40 worth of Argos vouchers from Consumer Pulse yesterday.

I've been spending loads of time (not money, luckily) on the free bingo sites but haven't won a bean this year, so far. :o
