Probate Office Forensic Team Say My Mother's Will Is Not Original (It Is!)

Hi all. New to this forum. In asking for "additional information", to my great surprise and concern, the probate office asked for a copy of my Mother's original will, even though I had sent this to them in early January. When I spoke to them by phone they said that they had received the will but their forensics team had determined that is not the original will. I personally took charge of the original will from a highly reputable firm of family solicitors. The will is quite obviously the original, with red ribbon and official solicitors stamps. Has anyone experienced similar issues or has any information or advice to help me deal with this? Many thanks in advance

I suggest the firm of solicitors speak to them to see if they can work out what the problem is

DH had this with his mum's will and just said it was the only known copy available so it was either that or nothing. The Will had nothing controversial in so they then OKd it and granted probate.
