Why sudden drop in short term gilt fund IGLS on 16 Jan?

I am curious about why there was a sudden 1-day drop - just under 2% - in the price of IGLS (ishares Uk gilts 0-5yr UCITS ETF GBP) on 16 January.  This is a short term gilt fund and normally not volatile, and I didnt notice other bond funds being affected.  Any ideas?

    1,000 Posts First Anniversary Name Dropper
    Went ex-dividend on the 16th January. Dividend was 251.58p per share. This is payable on the 29th January.

    The same accumulation fund (IGL5) is the alternative if you don't want the dividend paid out but rather automatically reinvested back into the fund.
