RingGo parking cost more than advertised on Harecourt Road N1

I parked for 1 hour.
The Advertised price was £7.40, yet I was charged £14.45.
It was NOT an "event day".
I have tried getting in touch with RingGo, and they directed me to https://www.islington.gov.uk/parking/where-to-park/pay-for-short-stay-parking
Now, i'm guessing because my vehicle is Diesel, it cost more.... but this was listed nowhere in the RingGo app where it shows the prices before I commit to pay.
Is this just something that people are supposed to "Know"?

The only advertised price that matters is the one on the machine and/or signage.

It's well known that Islington and even worse Camden councils are scammers on a par with private parking companies, another scam they use is starting bus lane cameras too early! They will huff and puff and wriggle believe me, and will tell you it's paid no refund will be given, Ringo will say it's got nothing to do with us!You will be better taking this to FTLA they will have more knowledge on this we major on private marking invoices.
