Cheapest way from Birimingham to Stanstead Jan 15th

I need to get to stanstead on Tuesday 15th January 2008 from Birmingham, returning the next day. The cheapest I have seen is National Express, £34.50 (return). Anyone know a cheaper option?

Seems cheap enough to me that!

Go through Quidco when booking and get a little more off.

You can do it by train for £24 - 2 x £12 singles - but it depends on the time of day and availability.

You could certainly leave Brum at 10am ish and leave Stansted at 10am ish or after 6pm - there's no availability at the cheapest fares between those times on the return leg.

Go to https://www.thetrainline.com and enter Birmingham and Stansted Airport as the stations. Spell Stansted right too!

Thanks, I will have a look tonight.
  • It's not the best train journey in the world. I get it to Cambridge sometimes and it's so slow and stops all the time. I think coach is best to Stansted from Brum. :)

It is a terribly slow stop-start train journey. But it's still potentially cheaper than the coach and worth thinking about. :)
