Sky vs Apple warranty query

I purchased an Apple Watch via Sky. The watch has developed a fault of not holding a charge severely restricting use. Apple took a look, sent it away and can find nothing identifiable wrong with it. They informed that, as it was still in warranty (exp March) then Sky would replace it. Sky informed, because it is outside their 31 day ‘cooling off’ or ‘replacement’ window, that it’s not their responsibility. Stuck between a rock and a hard place!!? Any advice please? Thank you

Perhaps the way you use the watch means that the battery isn't lasting as long as you think it should last...but this doesn't entitle you to a refund.
You could make the watch battery last longer by having the display switched off most of the time. You can reduce how many notifications you get on the watch. You can reduce the amount you interact wit the watch.1 -
I’m not sure why Sky would replace something that there’s nothing wrong with. That old chestnut of Apple telling you what they would do if you bought it from them. From a consumer rights perspective, Sky would need some proof that there’s a manufacturing fault.2
