Sony Digital Camera Waranty Question

Hi all,

Firstly, I apologise if this is the incorrect forum.

Would anyone happen to know if a SONY digital camera bought 3 weeks ago in the USA would be under waranty here the UK? somehow the LCD screen got cracked on it last night, just wondering if this is a situation where i might have to pay!

If the cracked screen was cause by an accident then it would not be covered anyway.
The warranty only covers defects by Sony.

Also my understanding is that Sony UK will not uphold any warranty claims from Sony items purchased in the USA.

You would have been covered if you would have purchased in Europe.

The above is correct, I dont know if your policy will be covered if you send it back to the US, it might be worth checking with the company you purchased it from before considering the ultimate surrender and have to cough up the cash to get it fixed. Good luck
