Octopus Go (not Intelligent)

As far as I can see Octopus Go just uses fixed times of day to switch rates. Does anyone know if it records usage in two registers, like E7?

I can't do anything until our meter's fixed, which I hope will be tomorrow. I'm wondering if I should play safe with a tariff that won't completely fail if the smart meter comms play up again. If they fix it tomorrow that's nearly four months, a long time to have everything billed at a peak rate.

    Generally no, it doesn't.
Octopus did set up my meter to use two registers when I was on Go, but everyone on this forum tells me that's an anomaly.

Cheers. So paranoia suggests maybe I should go onto E7 initially once the meter's fixed, then change from E7 to Go. Hopefully that would mean if comms fail again I can at least revert to E7.  I'm assuming that E7 can be billed from manual meter readings.

That would be an option, yes.

I had the same thing. I was Profile 2 at the time and already had use on the 2nd register from Flexible E7 during provisioning, so I don't know if that made a difference. If so the OP might benefit from going E7.

Just noticed that the new meter is recording two registers, current import readings ..
    A+ Value 00098
    Rate 1      00089
    Rate 2      00009

I don't know when it started doing so. Or which is which, but a look tomorrow will tell me.

AFAIK, Octopus have been standardising on using 2 registers for Octopus Go recently.
