We might need clarification here.... are you saying you have received back payment (thread title is throwing me)... or they haven't and you were entitled?

If the latter.. and I assume you wouldn't be posting if they had paid...what benefits were you receiving through the period in question and which disability premium are you referring to as there is more than one which could be relevant? Also... may be relevant (Severe Disability Premium).. were you living alone during the period?

Also helpful - you say you are ringing getting nowhere.... so I presume you have not formally challenged their not paying you the disability premium(s)?

In terms of ESA.. thank you for telling us you've never worked... this is helpful because ESA letters from the DWP are notoriously poor for telling claimants which type of ESA they get... in your case it'll be income related which can indeed attract premiums.

I can't understand the P45... it is definitely not P60s that you get sent which show tax on benefits? I wouldn't worry.

(Important we get good information here as recent threads have shown absolutely incorrect advice has been given with good intention where incorrect information was provided. If you feel you cannot provide good information here for one reason or another... consider seriously contacting Citizens Advice Bureau or a welfare rights advisor who could pick up your case, grab the paperwork and potentially challenge any incorrect awards by DWP on your behalf. I've personally challenged an underpayment of Enhanced Disability Premium when on ESA and won so these things are possible.. they do make mistakes!)

Can you clarify a little bit?
What details are entered on the P45?  If the payment you have received is a taxable benefit that is why a P45 has been issued, but if you don’t work then you don’t need to do anything with it, unless you do get a job.
Were you receiving the disability premium before 2017, and it then stopped,  or have you only recently applied for it? Similarly have you applied for ESA and are waiting for a decision?
