Moving from Octopus Dec V1 Tracker back to Octopus Flexible from March

I think the beta tariffs have always been a bit hidden historically.
If you know about them great. If you don't, then I guess it saves people signing up for a tariff they don't understand and regret it later.
But in more recent years they're getting a lot of publicity from places like Hotdeals and Martin Lewis's website and show.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0 -
Since September this year the savings on the Dec2023 tracker have been fairly minimal for me, and after checking the prices against the more recent tracker variant, I'd save even less from February when I'd get switched to it, so with prices forecasted to go up in April and stay fairly constant after that, decided to just fix.0

Octopus will push the start date to end of current contractual period, in fact they seem to really prefer doing it this way.
Since their fixes are no exit fees, then it might be worth asking for a fix, they put that to start in March, and then if flexible ends up being better than the fix, you can still leave the fix penalty free. So you basically giving yourself an extra option.
