If you have not been paying your rent, then another landlord is unlikely going to accept you as a tenant??
    .."It's everybody's fault but mine...."
  • have have you spoken to your council? That’s all I can suggest; as Stubod says, not paying is not going to look attractive to a private landlord.
I hope you get something sorted.

First things first - dealing with the non payment of rent is a good place to start as you need to fix that situation regardless.
Might be a good plan to get a statement of Affairs together and post over on the debt free wannabe board - the link to the SOA calculator can be found in my signature below.

Assuming that your income has dropped, have you checked that you are getting any or all benefits you may be entitled to?
Are you ensuring that your priority bills are paid ahead of any discretionary spending? So to summarise, this is rent, council tax, food, heat, light and water, essential travel (ie to/from work or place of education) and any essential insurances. I would also these days add to that a basic mobile phone on a SIM only or basic PAYG basis. If you are prioritising paying consumer debt (~0credit cards or unsecured loans) above any of those things, you need to stop the payments to the debt.

It’s worse than that according to the OPs other thread.

Utilities and Council Tax are also unpaid

So forcibly evicted - must mean court have served you papers.  Which country (eg Wales, NI..), what notice and what grounds?

If hasn't happened yet you don't have to leave.

What rent arrears please? (In months if rent)?

    Good luck.

If you have muliple debts then you could contact one of the free debt charities like Step Change, National Debtline or Citizens Advice. Obviously there are the debt boards here too.
Living is costly, one has to live within ones means, so that generally means spending less than what you have coming in or increasing your income to accomdate your expenses, and making changes to live within your means. This might mean moving to a different area. Where is your deposit coming from for the new place?

Your two posts are a little conflicting, a couple of days a go you were a good tenant and you leaving would put your LL at risk of voids and hoping to find another good tenant.

Now you haven't been paying rent, your LL will already have voids and you are going to be evicted.

I'm not sure both can be true?

But this all sounds very familiar to another poster last year...
Agreed, saying the landlord will have voids would suggest an excess of properties in the local area.

They have also said that UC will pay £2,200 per month, so it's not as if budget is an issue.

Wow, the local housing allowance is in the mid £100s here....that's crazy!
In any case, the OP does have a budget issue, and if they are getting £2200 towards the rent and not paying the LL, where is all that money going? Rent can be paid direct to the LL from UC, it should probably be mandatory.
