DCBL COURT NOTICE FOR EURO CARPARKS

I have just received court papers from DCBL for euro car parks because my car was in need of water at a garage and i spend a few minutes to long and received a ticket. I was only there too long because the garages water machine was broken and they didn't have a watering can so i had to buy bottles of water.
First of all i defended my 1st court letter but they have taken it farther now i have received a N180 A COURT DIRECTIONS FORM. If you believe that DCBL wont take you to court i must be 1 of the unlucky ones. The only thing thats concerned me is the letters with "can't pay we will take away" logos on letters. I feel they are even dramatizing the fact they were on tv etc. I will continue to fight this as i feel £170 for 10mins extra in a carpark is stupid and unjust.
My car ran out of screenwash so i went to my local garage as i live approx 3 miles from it to get some water just to get me home as the car was dangerous to drive as it was winter and the grit marks were all over my windscreen so could not see properly and it was at 9pm at night. I went to the air/screenwash machine but was out of order so then i went inside garage and asked if they had water which they did but no watering can to put water in car with. so i was stuck i rang around friends to try and get some help to me as i feel it was a danger to life if i had continued in my car in that way plus the highway code and all that. Eventually i just went inside garage and bought 2 bottles of water at the cost of nearly £5 just to get me home. Later i received a ticket from shell garage stating i had spent to long there as there was only a max time of 20mins i was there 27. I never noticed any signs when i went in but it was dark. Later if have noticed the signs are there and clearly marked as you go in.
Any advice would be great

You have only received and defended a court claim, nothing has gone to court yet and probably won't, usually DCB Legal ( not the debt collectors DCBL ) discontinue in ECP cases, currently the tally thread is over 450, probably around 470 discontinuations so far in 2 years
The postal PCN came from ECP, not Shell garages ?
When it came you should have followed plan A in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, complaining about the PCN to the business and getting it cancelled as a valid customer
Post a redacted picture of the POC on the lower left of the claim form after hiding the VRM details first
Follow the advice in the second post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, plus the advice in the 12 steps in the defence template thread to complete the N180 and email it to the DQ email address, same as everyone else2 -
I sent an email to Shell complaints they were not interested. See below response.
Dear XXXXX
Thank you for contacting Shell UK.
We have been informed by Euro Car Parks that several letters regarding an overstay at Shell Durham have been sent to you. However, as no payment has been received, the case has been passed to a debt collection company.
It is no longer possible to appeal this ticket as the appeal period has expired.
Please be advised that your Parking Charge Notice has been referred to DCBL. Payment must be made directly to DCBL and cannot be accepted by Euro Car Parks.
You are now required to contact DCBL directly. Please call 0203 434 0433 or visit their website at
Once again, thank you for contacting Shell and giving us the opportunity to address your concernRegards,
XXXXX

If you believe that DCBL wont take you to court i must be 1 of the unlucky ones.If you mean DCB Legal then nobody believes that. They file over 100,000 roboclaims per annum. They are THE most prolific boilerplate court claim issuer and nobody has stopped them. The Courts enable them.
But as long as your defence was decent enough and you follow all of our advice now, they'll discontinue before the hearing, later this year.
Show us your exact defence.
Except if you used our template PLEASE don't show the whole thing...you've no idea how tiresome seeing it on thread after thread is, as if we want to read it!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
