DVD movie problems

I bought my boys The Simpsons movie Pre ordered from Play.com. We have just sat and watched it for the first time and there seems to be some solid blocks of colour on the screen that come and go. At times there are complete stripes from one side of the screen to the other. They have played other dvds during the holidays but this hasn't happened to them. I have cleaned the lens with a cd cleaner brush type thing. Any suggestions please.

TIA

Try the movie on another player if that plays fine it could be your dvd lens still dirty if the movie is bad on another player send it back as faulty goods.

But a tip from me a good way to clean and repair damaged dvd's or cd's is to use a very soft cloth with some Tcut and polish in moving in towards the center from the outer or vise versa do not go in a circular direction. Just rub gently and then clean off the excess polish this should restore many old disks to a working and healthy condition.

    ;)

yes i have heard of the toothpaste but never tried it,infact have read it a few times so it is worth trying, i though swear by the T-Cut, do not go buy a bottle just for this and do not bother buying a bottle of fluid or one of them polishing tools just be gentle and have a very soft cloth or clean duster to polish with.
