Help from Facebook expert please.

Hello,
My Facebook page is working perfectly on my smart pone and tablet but not on my desk top PC.
Problems started suddenly two days ago on my Desk top Pc, previous day no problem!
The page opens, display the first few items then nothing, tried refreshing no good.

I obviously use Facebook but just in a basic manner, I never alter settings, friends etc etc, just view and occasionally respond to a posting.

Can any one help please?

Make sure you know your sign in details and set up recovery email(s) and phone number via the app.

Clear all HISTORY, IMAGES and COOKIES for Facebook in all browsers you use on your desktop.

Sign in again.

You might check and make sure you computers operating system is up to date as well.
Have you checked that the FB settings are still the same and have not been changed?

I have uninstalled Facebook via my phone app, cleared cache, re-installed Facebook, phone and tablet Facebook working ok .
So I assume it is something wrong on my desk top Pc, I have not altered anything on Pc settings etc, every thing elso on PC working as normal, so I'm at a loss what to do!
I use my PC all the time, I just look at Facebook occasionally, not by any way know any thing about Facebook settings etc.
I'm approaching 80 years old and manage most tech things ok, but lost with this problem, any one any ideas in a simple fashion what to do next please?

Have you cleared all the above from the BROWSER you use on the desktop ?

Sorry, I think I've passed my knowledge threshold, I've gone in to my browser but cannot see any where that I can delete the items you mentioned.
Still cannot understand why overnight this problem has arisen?

Just a update, I've always just opened Facebook from my taskbar, which now will not fully open Facebook, but I've managed to open via Microsoft which gives me the complete Facebook items.
I can live with that.

1..Try unpinning  Facebook from the taskbar. Then pin it back on to the taskbar & see if there is any improvement.

2. Have you tried using a different browser to the one you are having problems with.
If the different browser works OK,it would suggest that something has changed with your original browser.

From what the OP posted it appears to work via "Microsoft" which I presume means the Edge browser and the issue remains with whichever other browser they have been using which is precisely why I suggested deleting cookies etc in that browser.
