Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I hope everybody escaped significant damage and came through the storm unscathed. There have been heart breaking sights on tv. Other than blown over garden ornaments and rubbish blown in, my back fence kept just about upright and, more relieving, I still have my roof!
Has anybody else got the white dusty coating and runs on their windows? I wondered what it was until I read on the internet this morning that it's salt!! That wind took no prisoners as we are about 60 miles from the coast!!
No plans for today and still waiting to hear if the supermarket sweep will be today or tomorrow. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx

Thanks Scarlet, hope everyone is ok after the storm. I suppose a lot of people can't get on here after power going down. Seems very cold today, will need to wrap up warm for DGS footy shortly. We were in an amber area, quite a few trees down, including one in the wooded area where I walk pooch, luckily not near the road. Our tv aerial fell off too, but we were lucky. We didn't realise until one of the tvs wouldnt work without a fire stick, but I had thought I heard banging on the roof earlier. I was sewing in the bedroom, altering a pair of fleece lined trousers I got for football in a Mountain Ware house sale, they were too big, but I've got them on now in readiness.I'm going to make a Green Thai curry later for tea.Stay safe and well x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Good morning, thanks Scarlet.
A quick one from me as we're off to meet up with DD and dgd who are staying in Worcester for dgd's birthday weekend.
Hope everyone is safe after the storm and haven't too much damage. Take care all.12 -
Morning allHope the storm didn't cause anyone too much damage, but, as you say Rosy, there must be alot of power outages as it's quiet on here this morning.Going to strip the bed in a mo and then make some Twinks. I'm going to take the netting off my pots that i've planted spring bulbs in which, so far, has stopped the squirrels pinching. Will put lots of sticks in place to discourage them now that they are sprouting.Hope everyone has a good day x12

Hi all
hope everyone survived yesterday especially those in the red zone.Very gusty here and there was a tree down on the moan road that delayed me but only for 20 minutes.Van is all serviced and I’m mightily relived as there were a couple of warning lights - all solved (hopefully) with a new ABS sensor.Off to Shrewsbury to an 80th birthday lunch after a dog walk.Take care all

Good morning, can i join in please?
Today I'm meal prepping some work lunches and doing an inventory of my kitchen cupboards. My ONLY goal today is to stay away from spending money. I'm hoping for a NSD.11 -

Morning All
Calm here after yesterday's storm, everything seems to be ok but Freeview isn't working so I think it's probably the aerial on the roof. Not an emergency as I can get internet tv. It's just started hailing so not such a calm day after all!
Hope everyone has survived the high winds and heavy rain.
Welcome RandomOne.
I did a bit of work yesterday but there wasn't very much I could do so it ended up being a day of sloth, must try harder today. The bed has been changed and the throws from the sofa are in the WM. I'm away on Friday for a few days so had better look out a suitcase and start packing as it's a busy week at work - I have a first aid course Monday and Tuesday so not much time.
Shopping this morning, may wait until the hail stops and have a walk down. Take care. XX12 -
