Codicil for changing our and executors addresses and surnames?

We (my wife and I) have a will in place for over 10 years. In the meantime we have moved address as have our executors (daughters) and one of our daughters has got married (hence surname change). Can we create a Codicil for these changes or do we need to re-write our wills?

Absolutely no need to do anything if it's the same people.

So long as the people can be identified there is no need to change anything.

Is your home (as an asset) specifically mentioned by address in your wills?
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

After 10 years it may certainly be a good time to review your wills, but no need to make changes because of changes to addresses or marital names. Our wills don’t even addresses on them.

You do need to record these changes if you have LPAs in place. If you don’t have them that is something you should have at the top of your to do list.

Thanks all for your responses, most useful. We don't actually name our family home in the will, it refers to ...all my estate both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever not hereby or by any codicil hereto otherwise specifically disposed of to my Trustees... etc. etc. So, my take from your responses is that we do not need to do anything to change our wills in respect of surname changes and address changes. PS: all other material will content is ok and doesn't need to be reviewed.
