I doubt the website will have been updated yet (it is Christmas) and AFAIK self assessment bills need to be paid by 31 Jan, not December.

It's automated. I filed my SA return late yesterday and my personal tax account has all the relevant information on it today.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

The same thing has happened to me two years running. My accountant submitted my tax return a couple or weeks ago, and I have just logged in to pay it, but it says zero to pay again.  Last year I rang the tax office and they didn't know about Gateway and could not log into the website. I landed up just paying it. Seems Gateway is pointless. It does say you can talk to them, but then says the service is not available. That's the Great British Government for you.
What does it show as due to be paid tomorrow?
Unlikely to be anything payable tomorrow if this is a personal self assessment tax return. Payment dates are 31 January and 31 July.
Good point.  Might be time for me to put the Christmas sherry away 🥴

My wife isin a similar situation.  Her "Current Position" shows she is £3 in credit, butshe has an outstanding bill of £192.
The bill of £192 is definately correct due to a marriage allowance transfer for a previous year and he having to pay some additional tax after the transfer.
It seems that their systems arent joined up.  I called them and they had no good explanation.
Her tax code has been adjusted for this tax year to try and collect this £192.  However, she has no income through which to pay this so I guess she will have to pay the bill when she does a SA for this tax year.
The whole thing is a mess.

After two years and speaking to several HMRC 'experts' who had not a clue, I have finally this afternoon found the answer. Although the opening Gateway page with my personal details on says 'you have nothing to pay' you have to click on 'business account' and low and behold, I, as my accountant told me, owe them spud loads.
