Also, I am told the owner of this unmanaged garden is a working man in his late 40s or early 50s so he is not elderly to care for it... And also I found it surprising why he would deny any voluntary help offered.... I do know every coin has two sides so I Intend to start on a friendly note with the neighbour and see how it goes...

Also, the previous owner told me he used to cut the bamboo and other plants along the fence line every couple of months using a large hedge trimmer which is why it's clear near the fence area... Now as @-taff mentioned, the climber is a concern as it already made it way to the roof of the unmanaged property and could easily come on to my side of the roof.... Peculiar problem to deal with in 2025....

Also out of curiosity, I am told the unmanaged property owner got a mortgage going on this property but not sure how a bank will lend to a property like this....
Could be the way “help” was offered, some could make it sound like a passive-aggressive order to tidy it up, but I'm sure once you've had a chat you will sense what gives
Mortgage, I suppose, depends on Loan to value, and looking at the pictures I would think a few more new houses could go onto that plot, to match those where the cars are >:)

The climber on roof, come the spring and new leaves we should be able to identity it and then know of any potential problems

Have some clump forming bamboo here. Made the mistake of cutting it down to ground level one year. Darned stuff immediately started running. Dug up one runner over 5m in length !

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Bamboo isn’t classed as invasive, for mortgage purposes. And if he remortgaged with the same bank he had a mortgage with previously they are probably not going to do much in the way of checks.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

There may be a mortgage, but the plot itself has value. If the mortgage is less that, the lenders posterior is covered.
I notice the neighbour has bird boxes, and the area near them is clear. He may think the unmanaged garden is a wildlife haven, and he may be right, so pitch whatever you say to him with that context in mind.
PS I once had an interest in a property next to a wild, unmanaged area. There was never a problem with rats, but lots of unwanted germination of weed seeds. Bamboo only flowers about once every 100 years!

Anyone know? Is it urban myth or true that once it flowers, it dies?
And then all [nearly all] the panda snuff it from lack of food :'(

If no pandas around your way, can we assume bamboo has recently flowered? :D
