ESA Credits Only query

Options
I currently receive ESA Credits Only.
I have recently been added as a director to my partners Limited Company. It is more to offer me some protection should anything happen to him as we are not married but have been living together for over 15 years. His accountant has said that as a director I could take wage even though I do very little within the company.
Please could someone tell me if I would need to come off ESA Credits Only or if I would be allowed to earn a certain amount before it would be effected? I hope this makes sense.

I'm sure you would be classed as self employed also depending on the wage really that you pay yourself. Have you phoned ESA to check usually it's only 16hrs a week you can work.

Permitted work includes: Any work as long as you work for less than 16 hours a week (average) and do not earn more than £183.50 a week (the permitted work higher limit) and have completed a permitted work form and submitted it to your local Jobcentre.
