For the best deals .. How far ahead should I book Premier Inn rooms

Is there an optimum time scale for booking Premier Inn rooms ?
I intend booking some rooms for later this year (September and November) and was wondering whether to wait, or dive in now.
Towards the end of 2024 I booked, what I thought were good deals for two early 2025 trips, but a week or two after I booked, there was an offer which included free breakfasts. At £10.99 per person per day, this was a great deal. What's more, the room prices were only a fraction more than I had paid, so all in all, if I had waited I would have got a better deal

I can't answer your question, but if you regularly use Premier Inn, and are prepared to invest about £1,800 for 64 shares in Whitbread, then you get a shareholder benefits card that entitles you and up to three other people staying with you to free breakfasts for each day of your PI stay - it can quickly add up if you are a frequent user (and the shares have held their value quite well for me) .2

If you book at the flexible rate, there's nothing to stop you cancelling and rebooking if rates come down at a later date.0

I'm hoping there wouldn't be a problem if I booked certain dates, then cancelled and booked the exact same dates again0 -
Shouldn't be a problem, I've done it myself. Do the rebooking first to make sure you get the room, then cancel the original booking.0
