Aerial for Digital TV cost

We live in the Midlands and need a new aerial fitting as we can't get all the Freeview channels.

Any ideas on how much this should cost

You may not need a new aerial. We could not get a signal from our old loft aerial but I replaced the existing coaxial cable with new high quality stuff and we now get a very good signal with the old aerial.

A booster will not always work, it may actually make things worse.

" The Midlands " covers a huge area, some parts of the Midlands have very poor Freeview Reception.

Put your PostCode in to the following, it will give you a better idea of what is required.

it shouldn't cost very much, as ormus said, he did it himself. I also installed one at a previous place of work, and we were in a very low reception area, however, make sure you use good quality cable, and keep the cable runs/lengths to a minimum (but sufficient!).
    enjoy tv, i love it!

Just paid £135 for a new aeriel and cable
If you go ask for a quote make sure you ask for it with VAT added , most mine were without at £110, it caught me out

Use high-quality coax (the stuff suitable for satellite tv is better) and minimise the number of connections from aerial to freeview box. On ours the coax comes direct from the aerial, through the lounge wall (with a little rubber grommet around it) and is terminated in an F-connector that is connected direct to the freeview box. A wallplate would degrade the signal slightly more.

I have never come across a Freeview Receiver with an " F Connector ", Which make / model is it?

I have only ever seen them on Satellite Receivers.
