I received a copy of the assessment back and from what I can make out , scored 11 in daily living.I haven’t been through the assessment properly yet but at first glance there are a few things that need to be challenged. Can I ask if anyone has challenged them verbal communication and understanding? Can anyone tell me how long a review under mandatory consideration would take? Thanks x
If 11 points in DL, presumably none in mobility?, then you'll likely get an award of standard daily living just 1 points shy of enhanced.
You will unfortunately need to wait for this decision to challenge it with Mandatory Reconsideration (MR). Not sure on timelines... others might have recent handle on that.. few weeks to 3 months I'd guess but I may be wrong.
I'm sure many about will have challenged decision on that particular activity. CAB website is good for basic guide on interpreting and thinking about each activity.
MRs usually result in same decision but a decent chunk are changed. Expect more chance of success at appeal tribunal which is independent and could take many many months to be held after the MR decision if you did then need to appeal.
So have a good read of the assessment report. Note exactly the points scored in each activity and also what you think you should be scored. If you want to challenge decision likely to come then you could start then preparing by going through each activity and either sit in agreement with it or explain your problems and what they should consider your level of disablement (descriptor) to be. Any supporting evidence helpful. Try to sound agreeable and reasonable... especially where you can regarding descriptors you agree they correctly chose - this also hopefully is a protective factor against risks of 'losing points'."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack1 -
At least one part of the assessment is flawed. Mine is a poor assessment of the facts with no decent analysis.Current debt approximately 5000

Then look at the areas you believe you should get an extra point.
I do noted that your unhappy with the assessment, be mindful that they are written a certain way, yes it may be you disagree but youve got a strong scoring claim.
Out of interest what was the time frame for reassessment.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

Hi @peteuk , the review timeframe is 18 months.
I need to go through it properly. I only opened it last night and I only managed to count the scores and look at some of the assessment.Current debt approximately 5000

Just an update. I got a text message saying i had been awarded PIP, so im just waiting for he letter to arrive or the money to go into my account.
Ive had a few things going on this month to say the least so I havent yet looked at the copy of the assessment properly yet but it is on my to do list.
I think i will be asking for a mandatory consideration because the assessment took place 4 days after I had just finished crisis treatment in the community and may not have answered the questions fully as I was still in recovery. However, i may leave it another 3 months because Im not sure if they then say the information i gave in the assessment was unreliable anyway and withdraw the award. Im not sure what the process is yet
I think the assesor didnt have the right information because ive been told by professionals now that the condition will never go away x

I would add your last line will not affect your level of PIP but may affect the length of the award.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

I think i will give them a ring on monday because it looks like its a system generated letter stating a system generated calculation from incorrect dates. I really do not like ringing DWP. All they seem to say is that they cant help you, that they know someone that can and transfer you to a call that says number no longer in use. Fingers crossed its a problem thats easily fixedCurrent debt approximately 5000
