Kitchen plinths

Considering using lino offcuts to cover my kitchen plinths, or vinyl wrap. Anyone done this? Also Considering using same to avoid buying new end piece. Im changing all cupoard doors and drawers and all those are ordered. They are sandstone stevis slab doors from b&q (60% off) the floor is queens tex spring creek. No definitely not the other creek!!!

In our old house we painted the plinths a slightly darker colour, having repainted the doors previously. Looked alright. Not sure lino offcuts would look any good. Worth a try if you can reverse. I'd expect vinyl wrap to work, but may be expensive. Can you not just buy a piece of MDF and paint it up for the end piece?
