EBID trying to force me to join and use REVOLUT

Options
Apparently since 20.01.25 (coincidentally - my first sale!) has to verify my payment card.
It accepted my AMEX when I paid the £69 for a lifetime membership, but will not accept it now.
It says it will only accept REVOLUT which I have no intention of joining as a payment card.
I have entered via the site URL and not the email given one.
I have tried a 2nd bank verification - - CHASE -- but it says it won't accept that either, saying join REVOLUT.

I have a feeling I am being scammed, but I don't want to lose a potential sale.
I cannot make contact with a human being at EBID.UK
I cannot find a telephone number on their site. Can anyone help?

Apparently it is a scam - so I will leave this here to warn others.

However - I am still  highly perturbed that :
    a) a scammer can get into the EBID system to send me such a message:smile:
    b) EBID don't supply a telephone number, so I could have cleared this up straight away.

I fell for the lifetime membership on ebid too and my views about how much I regret  doing that are well known to regulars on here. However it would certainly seem a very odd situation if the only way to get paid is to use Revolut and I would certainly be considering whether there is a scam or hijack somewhere along the line. I certainly wouldn’t be doing anything until I fully checked.

There are forums in Ebid , but they can go weeks with no posts, but there is a thread about this with people suggesting it looks odd, perhaps ask on there as I’m not sure we have many ebid users on here.

edit, I’ve read the thread and yes it looks like a scammer has somehow managed to get hold of personal emails to send these messages out and they should be ignored and reported. If you used the link to supply any info, go change all passwords and keep an eye on your bank details and balances.

Guessing they have a Revolut clone website up and running and you will be signing upto that not the real website?

When you signup they will want all your ID,  photo driving licence or passport etc..

Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...

That’s what is being suggested on the forum, it looks like a number of people are getting a fake sale notice and frankly, and my prejudice for the site will show here, sellers are so happy to finally get a sale that they forget to be cautious and happily sign up to the system.
