Multiple parking Tickets from Chalfont & Latimer station but no written notification

Hi,
Looking for some general advice in relation to parking tickets received at Chalfont & Latimer station.
There may be an element of myself to blame here where i did fail to purchase a ticket or used Ringo instead of PaybyPhone (new to travelling from this location)
i have however only just received my first written notification of a parking ticket 21 Jan 25 for a failure to purchase a ticket dated for 5 Dec 24. I called them up to enquire as to why this was the first notification of this to which i was informed there were a number of other parking charges outstanding as well dating back to October 2024 (I have not received anything through the post for these)
Not disputing the fact that i didn't pay and i probably should pay a fine at £60 a ticket. but to not be notified and then told its £170 a ticket for failure to pay is a little extortionate.
Just looking for any general tips on how i could go about appealing this to have this reduced to the original fine amount?
Your help will be very much appreciated.

Who issued the PCNs ? Which TOC ?
Get your V5c log book out and check your details are accurate and current, the usual reasons for not receiving paperwork is not updating the dvla after moving house or flat, a legal requirement for which you could be fined if the dvla wanted to pursue it0 -
It was ZZPS on behalf of SABA parking Ltd.
My Driving license is up to date but the V5c was lost during a house move.
There are also a few of the parking charges that were paid for but 2 car parks are in clos proximity and when selecting the car park from the map the wrong car park was selected. Is there grounds to challenge those ones?1 -
One step at a time
So its SABA, with the debt collectors ZZPS chasing you
Have you rectified the V5c with a new one to your current address ?
If paperwork is going to an old address that is your problem and needs rectifying ASAP
You cannot blame them for missing paperwork, paperwork you dont have to possibly challenge
Selecting the wrong location is user error, not grounds for an appeal IMHO
Make sure your legal obligations to the dvla are sorted out first1 -
Are they Penalty Notices (PN) for alleged breach of railway byelaws or Parking Charge Notices (PCN) for alleged breach of contractual terms?
If you'd come here first, no one pays a penny to SABA for a notice issued on a railway car park.1 -

Just ignore them completely.*
You need to read the 4th then the 2nd posts of NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST.
As @Gr1pr says, if paperwork is going to an old address due to a failure to quickly update your logbook after moving, that needs rectifying ASAP with the DVLA.
* edited to add that, if the first letter is the NTK or NTO, the keeper can appeal. Of course, no saying who was driving!
Please do answer @LDast's question.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Confirmation that Chalfont & Latimer LU Station car park is subject to TfL Byelaws:-
www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/tube_station_car_parks_2
This means that SABA cannot transfer any driver's liability to the keeper.
In other words, as long as SABA don't know the driver's identity, they have no-one to chase.3 -
Hi all, V5 was updated a while back and in relation to @LDast , i haven't received any of the original letters from SABA, only the escalation letters from ZZPS that refer to them as a "Penalty Charge"
I have been ignoring the letters from ZZPS as advised through reviewing other posts, this was then escalated to BW Legal from which yesterday i received a "Letter of Claim"
Could someone please advise what the next steps are from here or link the post that describes the next steps as i cannot seem to find it.
Thank you in advance.0 -
You just send the usual LBC reply.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
