DCBLegal / Elite Car Parking Management - Letter of Claim

Hi all,
Starting this thread preemptively as I will probably need advice as this progresses.
I have received a Letter of Claim from DCBLegal on behalf of Elite Car Parking Management for an amount of £1700 for about ten PCNs. I believe each PCN was £135 so that’s about £350 extra on that.
The story behind this is that my car got stolen from its original parking spot elsewhere and I managed to retrieve it (amazingly), but due to a bit of fear and needing to make new arrangements for parking, I parked it within my residential compound for a few days, which isn’t really allowed without a permit and is controlled by Elite Parking management.
I ignored the original PCN reminders but now received a letter of claim dated 31st Dec 2024, so reading threads i’m aware I have till 30th Jan to make my first reply within 30 days.
So couple of questions
1) Do you think it’s still worth appealing to landowner?
2) I have read the Newbies thread and will be using the template, can I put that here for review before sending?
Thanks in advance!

1) definitely, plan A is always worth trying
2) no need, just email the template response to the email address for dcb legal
With 10 pcns in play at £100 a pop , ( not£135 ) , it's a grand, so might be worth contacting contestor legal about it, especially as they just won a multiple ticket claim by Napier via old foe B W Legal0 -
Even if you lose it'll be hundreds less than that! Well worth fighting but you might want to consider contacting Contestor Legal or Small Claims Advisor, either of whom could handle it for you (both with years of private parking knowledge) at a lot less than a clueless average solicitor with no such niche knowledge!
You could Google and sound them both out now, then decide.
You don't have to have legal help but with a 4 figure claim it is worth considering.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
