I’ve been on Tracker for 2 years - I renewed it in October but should I stick or go to a fix? If I do I can’t go back to Tracker for 9 months.

We cant predict the future. All I can say is Tracker the formula has changed, meaning you now need a lower wholesale rate compared to previous iterations of the tariff to get to the same price. So the tariff has basically been nerfed, you make your own mind up, I think though as long as the fix is no exit fee's it will still give you the mobility to move if market conditions change, 9 months will still just about end before next winter.

The Jan fix isnt that bad in my opinion, I think the issue is a bunch seemed to jump at the absolute perfect moment with only a few days window at start of month, some got luck with the Octopus lottery backdating the tariff, Now everyone seems scared to commit to the Jan fix,.but my Dec 2024 fix offer was 5.87p, not as low as others have quoted, and the Jan fix I agreed to is 5.99p, only 0.12p higher. I ended up leaving this tracker going to the change over date, mostly because I cant be bothered to contact Octopus again, but I am on the Dec 23 version, today its 6.06p.

I bagged the Dec 12m v1 fixed to run from when Tracker finishes for me (today). Electricity at 24.1p, and gas at 5.74p.Will keep an eye on Tracker prices, and maybe jump back if/when prices drop back. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
I just realised I managed to keep the Gas Dec 2023 tracker tariff, they emailed in Dec advising it was up for renewal and if I didn’t reply it would revert to the standard tariff.I replied and they extended the end date for another year, it’s the small wins.. 😂1

You sure you not telling us something?
The email I got states thisYou can renew on to the latest version of Tracker for another 12 months using the links belowIt doesnt say to reply, but instead to click a renewal link which puts you on Dec 2024 tariff.
So why did Octopus not follow the process the email states with yourself which clearly states the renewal is on the latest version tracker?
