Pulled over - speeding fine

Hi,

Hoping someone can help as most fines seem to be by getting caught by speed cameras or radar etc.
A couple of weeks ago I was stopped by a police officer who claimed I was speeding on the motorway.
He showed me dash cam footage and said, that's you in the distance, you can just see your tail lights. He said he was doing 74mpb and didn't close the gap and that was his proof I was speeding. The dash cam then stops so doesn't continue until he catches me and pulls me to show it was my car.
You couldn't make out my number plate or even the make of the car. He followed me for 1 short junction then I left the motorway and he pulled me after that.
He cautioned me at the roadside.
I have now been given a speeding ticket for exceeding the limit of 60mph by 'manned equipment'. There is no mention of the speed the officer claimed I was doing.
Where do I stand with all this?
No number plate
No accurate speed gun
No speed stated on the letter
And does dash cam constitute manned equipment?

Sorry for all the questions.
Not normally one to speed. Never been done in over 20 years.
Not even convinced I was speeding but too afraid to challenge it.

Please help. Thank you.

As this is not a private parking charge,  I strongly recommend that you sign up over on the FTLA parking forum website and post your query in the appropriate section there,  after reading the posting requirements there.  Try to avoid using a Hotmail or Outlook email address

How can you get a ticket for speeding without any mention of the speed?  There's different fines for different speeds - what you get for 5  mph over is much different to what you would get for 50!!!

Are you sure it's a fine and not a warning?  Maybe with a safe driving course application attached?

IF he didn’t gain on you then you were doing the same as he was,

I believe they have to record for half a mile as proof and the in car camera records the speed.

He followed you and pulled you over so he obviously had your number
