My parents have been receiving pension credits. They have realised that a private pension hadn’t been accounted for. They are now £1.05 over the threshold of £332.95.
They are now so worried they will not receive the pension credit which also included tv licence, winter fuel and council tax payments.
Will they really stop all this for the sake of £1.05 ??

Might be better asked on the "benefits" board:
I suspect the answer will be "yes" but the nice people over there will be far better placed to advise you.

If they are over the pension credit limit now then yes of course it will stop. If you are asking whether they will go back and reclaim Pension credit already paid then I imagine this will depend how the error occurred.

Most likely yes.  It is one of those unfortunate things that pension credit is a cliff edge benefit.  They need to come clean about it as technically it is benefit fraud so contacting them first will be viewed more sympathetically than being contacted. They may have to pay back anything received but may still be eligible for some help with bills though.
I have reported this to be moved to the benefits board as that is a more suitable location for help.

I would recommend that they write to their MP about the cliff edge caused by these passported benefits. It does seem bizarre that the moment you lose your entitlement to pension credit you also lose other valuable benefts.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

They won’t necessarily lose all their council tax being paid if they lose Pension Credit.  I was about £5 over the threshold for PC and got about half my council tax paid.
