Rejected POPLA appeal Stanstead McDonald’s

Hi everyone,

I’ve been researching online and found many people who have been fined from parking in the McDonald’s car park near Stanstead airport.

We stopped off at McDonald’s after our flight late at night to grab a bit to eat the car park was dark and I didn’t know there were two different car parks, the drive thru was closed we stayed for not even 30 minutes.

I received the parking notice in the post, appealed following the format from other discussions and it’s come back rejected. I’m not sure what to do and refuse to pay for their fault!

Any advise is appreciated thanks in advance.

POPLA decisions are not binding on the motorist.

They’ve sent a letter asking to pay £100 or debt collectors will chase and they’ll take me to court shall I continue to ignore?

Of course. Nobody cares about the £170 threatograms shown in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread.

Sit tight. Do nothing except the below.
By going confidently into the 'ignore' stance, the only steps to take are:

    - Tell them if you move house within 6 years.

    - Ignore the tedious £170 threatograms shown in pictures in the NEWBIES thread.

    - Come back if you get a solicitor's LBC as per the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread.

MET parking services issued the letter. I’m just worried that if I continue to ignore them it’ll escalate into something bigger

Why?  I explained what to do.  Please don't ask about CCJs nor 'what costs am I looking at if it goes to court?'

This is all already in the NEWBIES thread. Nothing escalates to something 'bigger'.
