Morning all and thanks for starting us off ScarletAnother chilly day on the cards todayI've been sorting out some old jewellery I have and some of my mum's too and am taking it to a jewellers today to see how much they'll give me for it. It's been laying around in my jewellery box for years. None of it is sentimental and it will never be worn.Want to use my breadmaker so I'll get some lardons and cheese to make a loaf while I'm out too.Hope everyone has a good day and hugs for the poodles.14

Morning again, it seems damp and dreary here, yesterday was the same.
I'm tired after a bad night, I suddenly woke up at 1am, don't know why, and just dozed after that - strong coffee will be my friend today I think.
I continued with drawer and cupboard tidying yesterday, I wish they would stay like that!
Not much planned for today, I'm too tired.
Hope everyone else does better than me though, thinking of our poorly and dad people.
Take care folks.14 -
Morning all - thanks for the start @Scarlet.The lunch yesterday was so nice, the hotel is very old, rustic and busy. And for sale at £4M! Seeing my friend was good, she'd already been shopping. Home in time for the fabulous programme about Stonehenge and Pottery Throw Down. It was very satisfying to have it officially recognised that the main altar stone came all the way from Orkney.Today I almost decided to drive down to Glasgow, haven't done that for ages, before realising that I didn't need / want anything from there.
I'll need loo rolls from Costco but that can wait until next month when the days will be lighter and (perhaps) the weather better. So, no plans then. It's banking day, that'll keep me busy for about half an hour. I'll most definitely not be watching afternoon TV today.I hope that all are well -@NAN- where are you? Take care, hugs to all.13 -
Spent another day faffing around yesterday, did clean the kitchen and cooked myself a mini roast .
emptied ,cleaned and sorted the next drawer down ,looks good
Today I’m going to WI this morning ,then driving to next town to meet some old work friends ,had completely forgotten, but one messaged me to say they were looking forward to seeing me !Have a good day everyone14 -
Good morning all.
Just getting light, but dry outside. Yesterday I decided to take a day off of social media just to see how much more I would get done answer, not much more. Although we did have Sunday dinner at lunchtime instead of 4 or 5 o'clock, and chicken 6sandwiches while watching Call the Midwife, which made a change.
Having sandwiches means we have totally run out of bread now, so I may pop to the shops, if not we'll have porridge for breakfast for a couple of days, not much enthusiasm for shopping at the moment.
Chrisca, my DH inherited two of his Dfathers heavy signet rings. As his df died when he was young they don't have any sentimental meaning and I've suggested that we get them valued and put the money away for the grandchildren. DH is thinking about it, but I know if anything happens to us our children will sell them as they didn't know their grandfather.
Off to catch up on yesterday's news, hope all are well, and Rob is okay. Have a good day all, take care.11 -
Morning all
Cold and damp day here again I’m sure we could all do with seeing some sun. Rob should be arriving this morning all being well I had a call from his mum yesterday evening to say she was hoping to be out on Tuesday she did sound a lot brighter but I can’t see them letting her out that soon ? But we shall see.
If Rob is ok when he gets here we are off to meet his friend and play indoor mini golf there is a cafe there where we can get some lunch and a cuppa afterwards.
Dinner tonight will be summer in winter chicken with pasta nice quick meal, I have also made a beef casserole ready to cook for tomorrows dinner with some crusty bread.
I need to have a quick tidy through and I will put a wash on.
Nan hope you are ok xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. A drab and dreary day for us too but after seeing the horrendous forecast for the end of the week I'll settle for drab and dreary!
My big bags for the chazzer went out this morning ready for collection. For once just as I packed them with no second thoughts leading to a ransack of them! Nothing major planned for today just another bitsa day. Yesterday I made a tentative start on the messiest grocery cupboard, sorting out jars of herbs and spices and chucking ood packets of stuff that seemed a good idea at the time! I may resume them today. Then the cupboard of doom under the sink!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. RUBY I hope you can see Rob today and all is well with him. And welcome to ARIELGIRL, nice to meet you. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start @ScarletRibbons
Another cold day. Won't be going far
Knitted some fingerless gloves yesterday, well just a rectangle sewn with a gap left for my thumb. Should be useful when doing jobs outside.
@RedRuby1231 hope you see Rob today and his mum is home soon
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Hello all, I am still here. I am sorry to have been missing but things really got on top of me and I couldn't seem to shake myself.
DGS invited himself over for the weekend and we binge watched the new series of From, then watched several films, he's such good company and lifted my spirits. We'll arrange a weekend with DGD, she won't want to be left out !
Last week Son in law had his twisting neck diagnosis and it was as DD feared Dystonia, so he has to have Botox injections every 3 months, poor man. Mr Fix It also had his oncology review and the oncologist is baffled as to why his levels are so up and down. Meanwhile I'm still waiting for my GP appointment, I wish they could give you a clue beforehand and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. Oh well I'll know by Wed lunch time.
There are a few leftovers in the fridge so we'll try to finish them up today and tomorrow. I'm shall do a load in the wm, empty the dw then probably strip the bed too. I'll get online later and order my meds then I can pick up my script at the surgery on Wed, fingers crossed.
Hope everyone can have a good day. Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones, their families and animals. Gentle cwtches to the sad or lonely.
nan xx
