I think you have 6 months to go to the Financial Ombudsman?
Ah ok. I might have a look at that then and see if they can look at it
Definitely do that. I've won 5 complaints and in every case the original complaint was rejected but the FOS upheld it.
That’s good to know! Thanks I will try that then. I used the template from debt camel when went direct would you use something similar to that wording when go to FOS?

You can picky take it to them after the company in question has given you a final response or hasn't given you a final response in 8 weeks. There is an online form to fill in so you just the the details of your original complaint into that.

    Hi Rob,
im doing my form to FOS tonight and just wondered what supporting documentation am I best sending?

I have the final answer letter from my complaint to newday and I also have things like the letters saying I was in persistent debt would those be enough or do I need other things? I can’t find any sign up agreements for them for when I got them.

I'd send their final reply, and any documentation you have that supports your argument. In the form outline all the reasons you have for it being irresponsible lending. They usually come back to you asking for additional documentation, normally bank statements from the time as well as a credit report that covers the time in question, so you might want to send those too if you habe them.

They will make a decision on whether the lender made a reasonable decision based on the information they had access to, so send anything that has information they would have had access to or could have asked you for.

There's no guarantee that your complaints will be successful, some of my complaints were rejected by the FOS when I thought I had a very good case. You should definitely pursue them, but don't pin your hopes on an interest refund that you might never get.
